A lot of people have probably been wondering how we felt about having so few games in the last three weeks. I think I see it as a good time to rebuild your physique again, hit the gym more than you do. The big thing is you get to spend more time with your family. You try to see the positive in it. Obviously, we’re going to pay for it later in the year, but right now, we try to make the best of it.

I spent a lot of the down time with my family. You take the kids to whatever activities they have – soccer, skating or just going to the play park. I don’t have any problem killing time, that’s for sure.

Everybody’s excited to get back to playing tonight against Atlanta. It’ll be the same thing on Saturday (against Boston). We haven’t been in sync as you normally are, when you play three games a week. So mentally, it’s very important to prepare yourself and be ready when the puck drops. We’ve done a good job the previous games here at home, so I’d like to see that continue.

Tuesday night, Toronto is here and I expect the Leaf fans in the crowd will still be booing me whenever I touch the puck. But it doesn’t bother me. It’s something that started a few years back and just continued. We do have a really good rivalry with Toronto, and that’s kind of part of it. I don’t have a problem with it. It means I’m doing something good, I guess.

Hey Alfie! Well I just wanted to say you are doing a great job this year. Keep up the good work. Good luck tonight against Atlanta and this weekend against Boston. I'm sure you guys will do great. I'm really happy that McAmmond is back too:)
I will be there to cheer you guys on Tuesday night against the leafs and as loud as the leaf fans might be booing you, I will be there cheering you on TWICE as loud! hehe Good luck:)

Hey Alfredsson and Sens! Just wana say that u guys are the best team around and that I know u guys will beat Atlanta tonight. GO SENS!

Let them boo,you just keep scoring on them.lol

Hey Daniel:
You are a teriffic player! It was a heck of a year the Sens and you had last season. We'll win it this year! The Leaf fan boo's are getting old now, the first game of the season when Toronto took a brief 2-1 lead and then about not even a minute after you got the tying goal and made the fans stop there boo's for that moment! Well good luck against Atlanta tonight and Boston on Saturday I will be there watching. I was at the october 18 game vs. the Montreal Canadians when you guys won 4-3 and will be in Montreal on November 19 watching you guys take on Montreal (I will be sitting in the 100 section with my new RBK Sens jersey and my flag and wig cheering you guys on so if you see someone with alot of sens stuff on it might be me) my dad is a habs fan and I will be at the game on November 24 watching you guys take on the Flyers. Good Luck With the upcoming season!Good Luck Alfie!

Let them boo. They only do it cause your a leaf killer. Roll over them tuesday

yay alfie! congrats on the goal tonight!

I think we all enjoy hearing the leaf fans jeer and boo you. You're becoming quite the "Idol" in leafsnation.

Hope you all have a healthy and successful season.

lycka till!

Hey Alfie! i'm a big fan of yours and the Sens. I live in the US now and still follow the Sens games by listening to the game radio. I've lived in Ottawa for 5 years then moved to Toronto but I'm sticking to my hometown team. Goodluck with the crazy shedule and try to bring home the cup this year!!! GO SENS GO!

Great attitude Daniel.
Leaf fans are unfairly harsh to you, but to be fair they are even harsher on thier own players. They would love you if you played in the blue, but thankfully you are with us in Ottawa and we absolutely love everything you do for this team and city. Keep up the great work!

Ada boy Alfie, way to get #300!

That was a good game on the ice. It's such an accomplishment to be 10-1 - the best start I've ever seen.

I hope this season will mark the first time a European captain will hoist the Stanley Cup - and that captain shall be you!

Hey Alfie! Don't worry about those Toronto fans booing you when you touch the puck, you're an awesome player and it definitely shows! I just recently moved from Kanata to Guelph to go to university so I will be cheering you guys on from the middle of leaf country. Good Luck in the next few games!!
GO SENS GO!!

Congrats on your 300th Goal! It was awesome to actually be there and see it. Can't wait to read more posts this month and to see you guys back in the swing of things. Keep up the great work.

"Senators goal, his ninth of the season, and 300th career goal, scored by number 11, DANIEL ALFREDSSON!"

Awesome game tonight, Alfie! 300 career goals is a great achievement -- Ottawa is proud to have you as our Captain.

Glad to hear you enjoyed your time off with the kids & family.

Keep it up & go Sens!

p.s. Thanks for the blog! :)

Hey Daniel, thanks for the blog it really is great to hear from you. It has been a pleasure for many years now to watch you play. It has been fantastic to watch you continue to get better and better. "Captain, my Captain"! Bring us to the promised land like we know you can. Thanks for all you do!!

Don't worry about the boos, shut them up with a hat-trick.

Congratulations on the 300th goal!!

We'll be there for the Toronto game on the 6th, you should get a hat trick just for them :) Good luck on Saturday and Sunday.

GO SENS GO

congrats on another win and your 300th goal, alfie!

Daniel

I appreciate how much you do for this team. You add so much leadership.

Glad the BOO's dont get to you.

Go Sens Go

You are God!

But seriously - I hope you feel the love from this city. You've done nothing but great things for the team, organization and community.

Please bury a few vs the blue team to ensure the jealousy continues!

hello daniel alfredsson, first I would like to say congrats to you and the team for last years playoffs, and for scoring your 300th career goal. as for the boo birds I dont think they even know why they are booing anymore or why they bother because you turn it up another level everytime they do! anyways my dad and I are looking forward to watching you and the team take another run at the cup this year and that you have got at least two fans from south carolina!

Even if there are folks in the arena booing when you touch the puck, we are cheering you as we watch on tv all over the country. Hear us cheering as you skate!

I cant tell you how amazed I am about the work ethic you're putting in this year. It's really showing on the ice and to net two goals and 2 assists after such a long break is impressive. You have my full support Alfie and you always will. P.s. I'm lovn' the blogs buddy!

What a bunch of great games to start the season! I unfortunately can't watch them on TV because I'm in London, UK for a year, but I make sure to stay up until 3am to hear the games on NHL radio. Let's just say rugby isn't really my thing, and the hockey culture is what I'm missing most from home right now.
I'm enjoying the blogs a lot too - definitely brings the fans and the team closer together, and adds a sense of every-day reality about your lives as players.
I will be eagerly awaiting next's games victory!

Cheers from London! (and will hopefully be seeing you in Ottawa during Xmas break!)

Alfie, Alfie, Alfie. Congrats on 299 and 300. You must've watched the movie for good luck. Anyways, keep up the GREAT work, and I anticipate to see you in San Jose this March.
